Distribution Boards & Sub-Mains
Supply and installation of commercial distribution boards designed for your load requirements and future expansion. Single-phase, three-phase, and sub-distribution.
Our Capabilities
From single-phase boards to three-phase switchgear and sub-distribution.
Single & Three-Phase Boards
Supply, installation, and commissioning of single-phase and three-phase distribution boards. Sized and configured to match your load requirements with capacity for future circuits.
Sub-Mains & Risers
Design and installation of sub-mains cabling and risers to connect distribution boards to the main incoming supply. Correct cable sizing, containment, and fire-stopping throughout.
Switchgear & Isolators
Main switch panels, changeover switches, and isolators for safe and controlled power distribution. Designed for operational requirements and maintenance access.
Upgrades & Replacements
Replacing outdated or undersized distribution boards with modern equipment. We manage the changeover with minimal disruption and full re-testing on completion.
What Every Installation Includes

When You Need Distribution Work
New Builds & Fit-Outs
Every new commercial installation requires distribution boards designed to the specific electrical load. We design from the ground up based on your specification.
Capacity Upgrades
If your existing boards are full or undersized for your current demand, we upgrade to larger boards with room for expansion. No more double-tapped breakers or overloaded circuits.
Compliance Issues
Older boards may not meet current regulations. We replace obsolete equipment with modern boards featuring the required RCD and RCBO protection.
Building Modifications
Extending your premises, adding a mezzanine, or splitting a unit? New distribution points are often needed. We design and install sub-distribution to serve new areas.
Designed for Today, Sized for Tomorrow
We always specify boards with spare capacity so you can add circuits in the future without replacing the entire board. It costs a little more now but saves significantly in the long run.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do you determine what size board we need?
We carry out a load assessment to understand your current and projected electrical demand. This includes looking at existing equipment, planned additions, and diversity factors. We then specify a board with enough ways for current circuits plus spare capacity for future expansion.
Can you replace boards while we are still operating?
In many cases, yes. We can install a new board alongside the existing one and carry out a planned changeover during a scheduled shutdown -- often overnight or at weekends. This minimises disruption to your business.
What brands do you use?
We use reputable commercial-grade equipment from manufacturers such as Hager, Schneider Electric, and Eaton. The specific brand depends on the project specification, availability, and any client preferences.
Do you handle the mains supply upgrade too?
We handle everything downstream of the meter. If a mains supply upgrade is needed (larger incoming supply from the DNO), we can advise on the process and coordinate with the network operator on your behalf.
What documentation do we receive?
Full BS 7671 electrical installation certificates, as-built circuit schedules, cable calculations, and test results. Everything is provided digitally and in hard copy. We also label every circuit clearly for ongoing maintenance.
